Štefánik in the United States: The Sovak-American Cultural Center award

The General Dr. Milán R. Štefánik Award, from the Slovak-American Cultural Center, is awarded to individuals who distinguished themselves in science, military and public service or promoted the Slovak cause.  The award consists of a diploma and a bust originally cast by the artist Martin Prokop.

Some of the General Dr. Milán R. Štefánik Award's recipients include historian and illustrator Jozef G. Cincík, bishop of Gary (Indiana) Andrew G. Grutka, chemist Emanuel T. Böhm, Reserve Policy Board John Sezlak, Denison Mines' president and Slovak World Congress (SWC)'s chairman Štefan B. Roman.
