Institutional Social Media in the Language Industry: Are They Worth the Effort? (research poster)

Description

We know that social media is popular for personal use, but is it worth the effort for institutions? Taking the Government of Canada Translation Bureau’s “Our Languages” blog as an example, this project investigates the level of public engagement – et ça dans les deux langues officielles! What’s the scoop? Most posts come from people outside the Translation Bureau, and the majority have over 2000 views. Keep up the good work @Our_languages.

Sarah Issa is a student in the Bachelor of Arts in Translation program. This poster was created as part of the 2020 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program.
