Rossetti poem(s): "Weary in Well-Doing"

Notes: From the 1884 hymnal, "Congregational Hymns," compiled by W. Garrett Horder. Ives notes that "[a]pparently Horder did not ask Rossetti's permission to be included in the hymnal, as she wrote to him after publication: 'It really gratifies me to see my few lines in your Hymnal: so the result is exactly the same as if you had applied betimes' (20 May 1885; Letters 3: 264)" (Ives DH6). Ives also indicates that it was "Reprinted in the second volume of Horder's The Treasury of Hymns (London: Elliot Stock, 11896])" (Ives DH6).
