During the month of May, the following (fplied the coast-
wise trade?) of Indochina:
1. JEAN DUFUIS - From 1 to 10 May, date of its arrival at
Saigon. Since running aground this ship has had to be moved from
dock to dock and is not scheduled to be available for service before
the middle of August.
The JEAN DUFUIS was sent to Vinh Long in order to relieve
the congestion in the port of Saigon. (The trip was made through
canals, from 19 to 25 May). Unless I receive instructions from you
to the contrary, I shall consider this ship as inactive in port from
11 to 31 May, from the point of view of the insurance premiums.
2. HAI SANG - From 1 to 10 May, date of its arrival at
Saigon. Between 11 and 31 May, this ship made two round trips to
Phom Penh by river. I presume that I may likewise consider this
ship as inactive in port from 11 to 31 May.
3. MAURICE LONG - From 27 to 31 May, and remained at Saigon ✓
from 1 to 26 May.
4. TAI PO SEK - From 10 to 31 May, and inactive at Honecohe ✓
from 1 to 9 May.
5. MONTUM and ALBERT SARRAUT remained seated for repairs
in Saigon during the entire month.
The present telegram is for the attention of the ASSURANCES
MARITIMES.
