CONALLY, President of the ......... has just stated to the press that the U. S. A. will have to engage in a painful and dangerous conflict, but he affirmed his conviction that ..........

He added that the present military problem, grave as it might be, should not make us overlook vital questions of diplomacy; among which he placed in the front rank of his preoccupations "the attitude of the French Government and the continued (eventual) neutrality of our fleet and of our army of North Africa".
