The title page represents a reprint book of the most interesting chapters of the book Winter Studies and Summer Rambles in Canada, which was first published in 1838. In it, Jameson describes her travels from Toronto through southwestern Ontario, up to Sault Ste. Marie and back. Her book is written as a travel log and recounts her experience traveling through the upper Canada wilderness and her interactions with Indigenous peoples.
