Shakespeare 400 is a multi-disciplinary bilingual four-month project commemorating 400 years of the remarkable “afterlife” of Shakespeare (1564-1616).
Taking advantage of this anniversary opportunity to examine the complex relationship between Shakespeare and Canada, his home for over 200 years, this project aims to create a cultural “map” of our relationship with the Bard. At the heart of the project is the analysis of the “place” of the classic in the contemporary, digital age.
