Perform an Advanced Search

From the advanced options, you may perform a boolean search and narrow the search to specific fields in the section called Narrow by Specific Fields. Note: Only the first 15 fields in the list, as well as Original Format, Transcription and Text contain data.

You may also limit the search by contributed collections, by type or those that are pinned to the geolocation map.

To performe a Search by Keyword, the exact spelling of the term, no matter the number of words, must be used. Instead, we suggest that you perform a word search in the "Subject" field, which contain the same terms.

Note: At this time, only the following types are used: video (Moving Image), Oral History, audio (Sound), image (Still Image) and Text.
