Description
The front displays a female head in profile, with hair tied in a bun, and covered by a kekryphalos. The back displays a large palmette located beneath the vertical pouring handle attached at neck; florals extend from each side of the palmette, filling the spaces above and below the horizontal carrying handles located on each side of the vase. Decorated in the red figure style and technique: details are rendered in black, white, and ochre prior to firing; the contour of the figure, parts of the kekryphalos, and the decorative elements are in reserve.
