Description

Obverse legend: D(ominus) N(oster) VALENTINI-ANVS P(ius) F(elix) AVG(=Augustus), translation: Our Lord Valentinian II, Dutiful Fortunate/Successful Augustus; draped, pearl diademed bust of Valentinian II facing right.
Reverse legend: REPARATIO REIPVB(licae), translation: Recovery of the State; Valentinian standing facing left, raising a kneeling, turreted woman with right hand, holding Victory on globe with left hand; mint mark in exergue: SMAQS. RIC IX, p.100, no. 30c.
