More Love to Thee, O Christ
The cover page includes the inscription: “Helen Livingston” with her address 44 Mountain Ave. The closest current religious establishments to this address are the Beth Jacobs Synagogue and Melrose United Church. In The United Methodist Hymnal, it is listed as No. 453, making the text appropriate for Melrose and United Methodist services.
The complete text and information on Elizabeth Prentiss can be found here.
In the absence of a score, the collection includes three cover pages, each owned by different individuals. This suggests the music is either being used for worship outside of a church, or the owners intend to perform for their parish under the guidance of their director.
W.H Hewlett's hymnary entry can be found here.
