DHN 3300. A Digital Humanities Seminar @UOttawa in collaboration with Ingenium: Canada's Museums of Science and Innovation
In this seminar students used digital tools to explore the role of touch in medicine and museums. We used the new Medical Sensations exhibit at the Canada Science and Technology Museum as a foundation for these activities, in particular the section devoted to touch, medical teaching and anatomy. Above all, we kept focussed on the main message of the exhibit - how the senses provide a window into the human dimensions of medical culture - past, present and future. In the following sections, we created our own touchscapes to explore and share this topic in new ways.
