My name is Rori MacDonald, and I am a first-year joint honours political science and communications student at UOttawa.
I came to UOttawa from a small rural town in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. My roots are what helped me choose the topic surrounding this project. I wanted to challenge myself to learn about a historical topic that I didn't have much of a grasp on or that isn't spoken much about when talking about the history of Cape Breton.
