Description
Light pinkish brown clay with light slip; pierced lug handle; flat nozzle with rounded termination, defined by two ridges at base;; recessed discus surrounded by two concentric grooves, followed by a pattern of short bars set perpendicular to the concentric grooves; pictured in the discus: a Melitan (Maltese) dog facing right with open mouth and a collar; the texture of its fur is rendered with notches; beneath the belly of the dog is the filling hole; incised letters under base: STTROIL (?)
